Dr. Wayne Lesperance, Jr. BS, MA, LPD

Wayne LesperanceDr. Wayne F. Lesperance, Jr. , Professor of Political Science at New England College, has a wide range of teaching and research interests that run the gamut from international security issues to civic education. His expertise and fresh perspective on public policy, the political process, and emerging trends in politics make him much sought after by national and international radio and print media giants, such as CBS, BBC, Al Jazeera, The New York Times, and The Christian Science Monitor.

Dr. Lesperance also serves as a lead organizer for the College Convention, a unique opportunity for high school and college students from around the country to meet with presidential hopefuls and experience the primary election process.

Accolades Dr. Lesperance has received include the 2004 Teacher of the Year Award at NEC, the 2007 Union Leader’s “40 Under Forty” most influential citizens in New Hampshire recognition, and the 2009 nomination as a Chase U.S. Professor of the Year Award.
